Challenge:
Help Sales Reps keep doctors informed on the ever-changing Formulary
Status of their drugs, by Health Plan. Also, provide an additional conduit
for Sales Reps to get their marketing information out to their doctors.
We provided Schering Sales Rep's with an innovative way to get information
out to their busy doctors. This new communication channel improved the
relationship with the doctor by providing relevant product information
while not taking the doctor away from office time with patients.
Factors considered:
With the increasing limitations posed by Privacy regulations, and the
abundance of pharma reps on the street, securing face time with doctors
was becoming a major challenge for Schering Sales Reps, who must get
their product in front of the doctor. The Sales Rep must be a source
of information for the doctor regarding the Formulary Status of their
drugs on the Health Plans accepted by each doctor, and all information
provided by Sales Reps to the doctor(s) must be approved by Schering
Med-Legal and presented unaltered.
Our solution:
Provide Schering Sales Rep's with functional, e-mail software that
facilitates distribution of pre-approved Product messages, greetings
and Managed Care Formulary Status to their doctors. This software provides
a simple and easily regulated channel for Sales Reps to reach their
doctors.
